This is actually a Facebook page post by Dallas Hartwig but I thought it was such an important post it needed sharing.

In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s winter. It’s not the time to get lean for the spring time or for your winter vacation to the Caribbean. It’s not the time to train extra-hard for your spring triathlon. It’s the time to sleep more, to eat a diet that’s rich in meat and fat, and to do somewhat less exercise, focusing on weight training to build muscle mass, strength, power, and bone mass.
