Blog – Where do I start?

All of the information on this website may be rather overwhelming, so I thought I would put together a quick start guide.

Are you sure it’s SAD?

The first step is to be sure that what you are experiencing is SAD.  Start by reading this page that explains what I think the main causes of SAD are.  Then ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Has this happened for a few years with roughly the same pattern?
  2. Do I feel better when it’s a sunny day?
  3. Do I notice that I feel better around March or April?

If you answer yes to these it is possible you have SAD*.

From here it would be wise to visit your doctor.  They can perform a blood test to see if your vitamin D level is low and possibly suggest a course of action.

If you want to then take a path that does not involve medication you might want to take a look at the following pages of this site:

  1. Light Therapy Pt 1
  2. Supplements

These are the main routes people take to combat their SAD*  If you want to try these take a look at the Links page for more information.

After you have tried those routes there are a large number of other options listed throughout this site.
